We are a family-centered facility that takes pride in providing support for the entire family. Below is a biography for each of our supervisors:
Kiya Olson, M.A., M.S., BCBA
Kiya has been in this field since 2002. Her background is in developmental psychology and she takes pride in looking at all aspects of development in order to fully understand each child. She received her first masters degree is in developmental psychology in 2002. She graduated with her second masters degree in clinical psychology in 2012, with a emphasis in counseling, so that she could better assist parents/guardians, siblings, and extended family who have a family member with a diagnosis of ASD. She is consistently seeking out opportunities to learn more about interventions and strategies in order to enhance her skill set. As a result she has several credentials: Illinois Early Intervention Developmental Therapist, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, she was previously a certified RDI consultant for 10 years, and she is also a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2013.
Jessica Winkler-Steinkamp, M.A., BCBA
Jessica has been working with ASPB since 2008. She was initially hired as an ABA therapist but was promoted to a supervisor because of her knowledge, her desire to contribute to and help families, and her high level of conscientiousness. In addition to the one-on-one work that she provides for our families in the field is also our staff trainer and she continually educates and teaches our staff. In the fall of 2012 she will also begin providing educational seminars for parents who wish to learn more about autism spectrum disorders. Jessica is also an Illinois Early Intervention Developmental Therapist and she is a Board Certification in Behavior Analysis.
